In short: SmartNotes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no data sent to us or to anyone else. All notes and settings are saved only on your device using local storage.
This Privacy Policy describes the data practices of the app SmartNotes ("the App"), published by Thoiba Trader, a sole proprietorship run by Sanathoiba Singha, based in Lanka City, Hojai, Assam, India. This policy applies only to the App itself, and is separate from the general privacy policy for apps.thoibatrader.com.
We do not collect any personal information from users of the App. Specifically, the App:
The App saves your notes — including their text content, formatting, embedded images, titles, and colour tags — in your device's local storage (IndexedDB). Your preference for dark or light theme is saved using your browser's localStorage. All of this data remains on your device only. It is never transmitted to Thoiba Trader, to Amazon, or to any other party. Uninstalling the App removes this locally stored data.
When you insert an image into a note, the App compresses the image and encodes it as a Base64 data URI stored directly inside the note in local storage. Images never leave your device — they are not uploaded to any server or cloud service at any point.
When you use the export feature (PDF, Word, or HTML), the exported file is generated entirely on your device and saved to your device's local Downloads or Documents folder via the Amazon Appstore's download mechanism. The content of your exported notes is not sent to Thoiba Trader or any third party during this process.
SmartNotes offers one optional one-time purchase ($2.99) to unlock unlimited notes beyond the free limit of 10. This purchase is processed entirely through the Amazon Appstore's in-app purchasing system (Amazon IAP). Thoiba Trader never sees, receives, or stores your payment details, card number, or billing information — that is handled directly by Amazon under Amazon's own privacy policy. We receive only a simple confirmation of whether the purchase was made, which is then saved locally on your device as described in Section 2.
The App contains no advertisements of any kind. Therefore, no advertising identifiers (such as Amazon Advertising ID), ad SDKs, or ad-related data collection are used.
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, social, or data-processing service. The only external interaction is the Amazon IAP system for processing the optional in-app purchase, described in Section 5. No other network request is made by the App during normal use.
SmartNotes is a general-audience productivity app. Because the App collects no personal information and includes no advertising or social features, it does not collect personal information from any user — including children. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern about the App and your child's use of it, please contact us using the details below.
Because no personal information is collected, none is shared with or sold to third parties. There is nothing to share.
All note data is stored locally on your own device using IndexedDB, which is sandboxed to the App. Because no data is transmitted over the internet, there is no risk of that data being intercepted in transit. Device-level security — such as screen lock and storage encryption provided by your device's operating system — applies to all locally stored data.
Your notes and settings persist in local storage for as long as the App is installed on your device. You can delete individual notes at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App from your device removes all locally stored data permanently. Because no data is held on our servers, there is no data to request deletion of from Thoiba Trader.
If a future update to the App changes what data is collected or how it is used, this policy will be updated accordingly and the "last updated" date above will change. We recommend checking this page before updating the App if you have data-privacy concerns.
